Claire Sharpe holds an MA in Creative Writing from The University of East Anglia. Her poetry has been published in recent editions of The Antigonish Review, echolocation, and Misunderstandings Magazine, and has appeared in a number of UK magazines including Obsessed With Pipework, Dream Catcher, Staple, Magma, Pulsar, South, and Oxford Magazine.
Claire returned to Canada in September 2005 after spending six months in Holland and five and a half years in England. She currently works at McClelland & Stewart Ltd.
Her paper on the literary work of Finnish author Tove Jansson, entitled ‘Tove Jansson and the Divided Self,’ was published in a collection of essays entitled Tove Jansson Rediscovered (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, September 1, 2007.) She presented this paper at the Tove Jansson Conference, Pembroke College, Oxford on March 24, 2007.
